These fun gourds are covered in wings, warts, and have curved necks. They are about 4 – 10 inches long and about 3 inches wide. Skin color can be white, yellow, green, and any combination of the three.
Luffa gourds are closely related to cucumbers sharing characteristics like long, slender fruits with thin skins. The vine is not frost tolerant at all and the seeds have hard shells so give germination some time.
